Anika Noni Rose is an American actor and singer. The most famous role she has played is Tiana the first Disney African American Princess. The year 2011, Rose was recognized as a Disney Legend. Rose is most well-known for her character Lorrell Robinson, the character from Dreamgirls. Anika Noni Rose (born on September 6, 1972) is an American artist and actress. Most famously, she is known for voicing Tiana the first Disney African-American princess as in The Princess and the Frog (2009). She was named a Disney Legend in the year 2011. Also, she has a prominent role, as Lorrell Robinson in Dreamgirls (2006) that was nominated for an Academy Award. And she performs the role of LaVerne Jukebox Ganner on Starz's series Power. Apart from her acting, she is known for the roles she performed in theater. This includes Emmie Thibodeaux in the Broadway version of Caroline or Change (2005) where she was awarded the Tony Award Best Features Actress in a Musical was presented and Beneatha on the Broadway revival A Raisin in the Sun (2017) for which the Tony Award Best Features Actress in a Play nominations were presented.
